“As a mature age student with no previous experience with the oboe I was more than a little apprehensive about how lessons would work out. Thankfully I have found that Geoff is a first class teacher and great at motivating his students. It also doesn’t hurt that he is also a genuinely nice guy! I have learned a huge amount from Geoff (including reed making, much to my amazement!) in the 3 years I have been studying with him. As such, I am well ahead of where I expected to be in this time frame and still enjoying the lessons greatly.

Geoffrey was an important step in my oboe learning adventure. he teach me how to forget my bad habit , after listening his advices i started to blow in a better way. he also love scales and i dont regret it, it is very important to understand a tune. he also borrow me some classical oboe CD to analyse some pro players solo. Thanks geoffrey. hightly recommendable Oboe teacher!

I consider myself very fortunate to have Geoff as my oboe teacher. From very woeful beginnings (I couldn't get the reed to make a noise!) Geoff patiently nurtured and encouraged me. His personable and friendly manner always makes lessons enjoyable but he continues to push me to develop correct and consistent technique and improve myself as an oboe player. He also has a wonderful knowledge of classical music, composers and artists! It is a pleasure to be able to learn the oboe from Geoff and I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for an oboe teacher.
